Augusta Middle School

in K-12 education

Part of a $14.25 million bond referendum, the new middle school was built on the existing middle school site.  A challenge to the design of this project was building the new structure while maintaining use of the existing facility during construction.  This required careful consideration in demolition phasing.  The site is constricted by residential areas in front of and a steep hill behind the building.  Featured in the new school are several technology labs, including two science labs, one home economics lab and one industrial education lab.
