Trinity Heights United Methodist Church

in Religious

Trinity Heights UMC features a Sanctuary which seats 350 people, with additional overflow seating in the gathering area for 100. The first 3 rows of seats are interlocking chairs to allow lots of flexibility for church services, weddings, funerals, musical events, and to provide accessible wheelchair seating anywhere at the front of the church. The entire platform is also fully accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. Additional new spaces include: Sacristy, Nursery, Cry Room and Choir Practice areas, along with new Reception, Pastor’s Office and Restrooms. Remodeled areas within the existing building include: Archive Storage, Open Office Space for church staff, Work Room, Library and Coffee Bar. The interior of the sanctuary features a dramatic four-piece cross designed and built by a local artist, which was moved from the old multi-purpose room.

The organ at Trinity Heights had been in storage for many years. It features 12 ranks of 100 year old Gottfried pipes which were perfectly preserved, as well as new digital voices. Combs Organ Specialists did the installation. In addition, the sanctuary features a state of the art sound system and video system with two digital projectors and two screens.

This project was built via the Construction Manager at Risk delivery method. Hutton Construction, Wichita, KS served as the Construction Manager. Construction began in June 2007 and was complete in March 2008.
