Joplin Street Plaza

To be called Champions Plaza, the purpose is to commemorate all champion teams, coaches and individual players at PSU. The plans call for a series of masonry pillars with all the names inscribed within them, and each will be back lit from the inside to aid night time visibility. Statues of significant contributors and champions are also planned.  The Plaza itself will be multi-functional, accommodating various school events including alumni receptions, and will have some built-in seating.

Two versions are currently on the boards pending a decision by the city to move the street. One version shows The Plaza design under the closed street scenario, the other with the street open.
